As to the question of "The Trinity", the word "Trinity" is not found in scripture but the church has always believed in the teaching that God exist eternally as three Persons.

One true God: 1 Timothy 2:5, Deuteronomy 4:35; 6:4; Isaiah 43:10

The Father is God: 1 Corinthians 8:6, John 17:1-3; 2 Corinthians 1:3; Philippians 2:11; Colossians 1:3; 1 Peter 1:2

Jesus Christ the Son, is God: John 5:18-23. "In answer Thomas said to him [Jesus]: "My Lord and my God! "John 20:28, Isaiah 9:6; John 1:1; Romans 9:5; Titus 2:13; 2 Peter 1:1

The Holy Spirit is a person, is eternal, and therefore God. John 14:16,17; :26; John 15: 26,27 John 16:13-15 In Acts 5:3,4 We see that Peter asked Ananias, why did you lie to the Holy Ghost? and then told him that he did not lie to men but to God.

The Father, Son, and Holy Spirit are distinct Persons:

"Baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit"; "The undeserved kindness of the Lord Jesus Christ and the love of God and the sharing in the Holy Spirit be with you all". Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 13:14. Its clear from these verses that the Bible teaches the one true God exist eternally as Father, Son and Holy Spirit. For 1900 years the historic Christian church has found in the Bible the doctrine (teaching) of the Trinity.

You can read the church fathers and study the historic Creeds to see more about it.

Many other references are (Matthew 28:19; 2 Corinthians 1:21,22; 13:14; Ephesians2:18; 3:11-16; 5:18-20 and 1Thessalonians 1:1-5)

Questions:

1. Who raised Jesus from the dead?

The Father-(Romans 6:4; Acts 3:26; 1 Thessalonians 1:10

The Son-(John 2:19-21;10:17,18)

The Holy Spirit-(Romans 8:11)

or God( Hebrews13:20; Acts 13:30; 17:31)?

2. Who does the bible say is God?

The Father(Ephesians 4:6)?

The Son(Titus 2:13; John 1:1;20:28)?

The Holy Spirit(Acts 5:3,4)? The one and only true God(Deuteronomy 4:35)?

3. Who created the world?

The Father(John 14:2)?

The Son(Colossians 1:16,17; John 1:1-3)?

The Holy Spirit(Genesis 1:2; Psalm 104:30)?

Or God(Genesis1:1; Hebrews 11:3)?

4. Who saves man? Who regenerates man?

The Father(1 Peter1:3)?

The Son(John 5:21;4:14)?

The Holy Spirit(John 3:6;Titus 3:5)?

Or God(1 John3:9)?

5. Who justifies man?

The Father (Jeremiah 23:6, 2 Corinthians 5:19)?

The Son (Romans 5:9; 10:4; 2 Corinthians 5:19-21)?

The Holy Spirit ( 1 Corinthians 6:11; Galatians5:5)?

Or God ( Romans 4:6 ; 9:33)?

6. Who sanctifies man?

The Father (Jude 1)?

The Son (Titus 2:14)?

The Holy Spirit (1 Peter1:2)?

Or God (Exodus 31:13)?

7. Who propitiated God's just anger against man for his sins?

The Father (1 John 4:14; John 3:16;17:5; 18:11)?

The Son (Matthew 26:28; John 1:29; 1John 2;2)?

The Holy Spirit (Hebrews 9:14)?

Or God (2 Corinthians 5:1; Acts 20:28)?

If you just look at the baptism of Jesus; Matthew 3:16,17 "And Jesus, when he was baptized, went up straightway out of the water: and , lo, the heavens were opened unto him, and he saw the Spirit of God descending like a dove, and lighting upon him: And lo a voice from heaven, saying, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased."

We see Jesus being baptized, we see the Holy Spirit descend upon him and we see God the Father speaking from heaven. All three are present.

In the beginning we see in Genesis 1:26 a hint of the trinity, "Let US make Man in OUR image. Also in Genesis 11:7 "Let US go down,. Genesis 1:2, And the earth was without form and void and darkness was upon the face of the deep. And the [Spirit of God] moved upon the face of the waters. We see the Holy Spirit right there in Genesis chapter one sharing in creation.

This is why I believe in the doctrine of the trinity.
